Leavenworth County KS - We’re in the Know

Leavenworth County is also home to several colleges and universities. The University of St. Mary has also been recognized by Ingrams and Kansas City business journal as one of the top universities in the Kansas City area. The University of St. Mary has nearly 1,000 students and offers the Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, and the Bachelor of Science Degrees with several majors and minors. Kansas City Kansas Community College also has a location in Leavenworth and offers credit and non-credit classes. Additional information is available on the web at www.kckcc.edu/admissions/leavenworthCenter.

In addition to these two colleges, Ft. Leavenworth also features several extension offices offering courses open to the public. Extension offices include Central Michigan University, Webster University, Upper Iowa University, and Kansas State University. Leavenworth County is also less than one hour away from more than 30 additional universities and community colleges, including the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
